What is a Lead Roof Vent?

Our lead roof vents are designed to be fitted on both tile and slate roofs to provide an aesthetically pleasing method to terminating a ventilation air duct. Traditionally the ventilation air ducts, kitchen or bathroom extractor fans would penetrate the roof via a pipe which would then require a lead slate to weather it. By using a lead roof vent, you eliminate the need for the lead slate and having the pipe extended out through the roof.

What can a Lead Roof Vent be used for?

Our lead roof vents come in all different sizes to suit many ventilation applications.They can be used to vent the roof void, or they can come with a welded pipe attached to the underside to suit a flexible air duct for mechanical ventilation purposes. These lead roof vents have also been used purely for aesthetical reasons, in situations where there is a large section of plain roof, these vents have been placed evenly throughout the roof to break it up and add character to the roof. The lead vents come in several sizes:

The smaller lead roofer vents can accommodate a connection between 50mm to 150mm diameter.

The larger lead roof vents can accommodate a connection between 150mm to 350mm diameter. These vents also come with copper vanes and are supported by 1.5mm stainless steel to stop the lead from sagging.
